And yes, museums have a critical role in supplemental expression of the historical and topical concerns as well as being repositories of the resources that can be tapped when needed. The American Civil War Museum is in the middle of this dynamic - the new popular realization of that War's relevance to today's issues. Museums are resources for educators traditionally, but now the community is tapping them. acwm.org
